Moving towards the end....

It’s the fortheenth week!! And it was the last lesson for this course but no the end of it.. Well, today my class was reminded that our test would be on 1^st November 2010 which would be NEXT WEEK! So far yet so near..

Well, submission for the work + tasks + modul for this week would be:

1) Modul 4

2) Task 1 (Pair)

3) Task 2 ( Individual)

4) Task 3 (Group)

Looking back at all these tasks, they were not easy but contained a lot of knowledge and skills.

So far, I’ve learnt a lot in improving myself to become a resourceful techno-savvy future teacher. All thanks to Mdm. Foziah for her generous giving of knowledge, patience and counsel in the process of helping my class and I to a higher extend of becoming a future generated teacher.

Today I was again, being thrilled by the video sharing in youtube that we had in class.

The videos that we had seen were the ones that we had created for our task 1 (video editing task). It was quite a success though there were several changes or comments that had been given by peers and Mdm Foziah to my class.

I personally thought that the idea of viewing the videos together and sharing of opinions was pretty good. This was because through peers and lecturer’s feedback, be it positive or negative,it eventually helped us to grow, to a better way of course!

As to recalled of what Mdm Foziah said for the videos that we had created, it must contained emotions, feelings, character and the mood must be brought out in order to capture the audience’s attention and interests.

Of course, this must also be complimented with suitable songs or audio tracks and pictures in order to bring out the real atmosphere of it. In creating a good video, all these must taken into consideration as whatever that we did must have a purpose so that it would become a meaningful one.

Hence, this course really equipped us, especially me with a vast knowledge in creating and modifying my own teaching aids and it indeed was an experience I would never forget!

Submission, Submission, SUBMISSION!

Today was the submission date for 3 tasks.

1) Modul 2
2) Group Lesson Plan
3) Ebook Print-out

Well, I was glad that finally I've completed the three tasks and handed them in today. So, now left with the tasks of Modul 4 and video editing for pair.

Today's class did not have much teaching because Pn. Foziah generously gave us the time to do our video editing and checking on our task. This was to make sure that our video editing task was on the right track.

After the consultation, my pair and I were on the right track, just that we had to make it more meaningful so that the video will be much more interesting. This was to make sure that the video was there for a purpose. The theme must be seen there. Pn. Foziah suggested a theme, 'Selfless love' , so it was a good idea after all.

Hence, my partner and I would be doing on 'Selfless faith' of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

Our video would consist of the love story of Angelina and Brad, on how they met until they got married, had children and also adopted their own other children as well from other parts of the contries.

Well, the story would still be on the edit. so, I think that's all for today. I got to continue doing my tasks now.

The Starting of Video Editing

Another week had passed and now was the of the course was very very near! Wow.. How time really flew. Well, when it came to the course of Resources, I had always be surprised by the lecturer as everyday I stepped in the class, there would always be new excitement and new resources for us to learn. Cool wasn't it? Although the process of implementing it, like getting things hands on was quite taxing, the end product was actually very fruitful because at the end of the lesson, I did actually learn many things. One of Pn. Foziah's famous quote was 'It's alright to redo your work, and pour your hardwork on it as long as at the end of the day, you gain something'. And that something was of course, a lifelong knowledge.

Well, back to today's lesson, I had actually been shown by Pn Foziah on the technic of video editing. We were shown on the video of Wu Chun and Ella. The video was actually made by Ella's fans. It was really AWESOME!

Even before we got our module 4, Pn. Foziah had already prepared us for our task, which was video editing. It was an exciting experience to have known that all these could actually be integrated in the classroom. Even I myself got excited with it, what to say to children?
Well, this week my class had been given another two parts of modul 2 on Photoshop. Apart from the module, I had to complete an ebook, which was to create animation using powerpoint. The ebook must have
1) Theme
2) Setting
3) Characterisation
4) Plot

All these criteria must be taken into deep consideration as they were very important in creating a story ebook.


Although time was running out, I hope that I could finish all these on time!
So, that's all for now. I better be working on my tasks now..

Characteristics in Editing Photo

This week's class is again on PHOTO EDITING! Today my class was briefed by Pn. Foziah on our skills on editing our individual photo. Well, we were reminded that whenever we edited any photo, the product must be something meaningful so that whoever that saw the picture would be able to know the message that we would like to deliver. Besides, Puan Foziah also made the effort to find the quality and good edited pictures to show to my class as examples that we should follow. Hence, after the briefing, we were given the time to edit back our own individual picture. One thing that we had to remember while we were editing our picture was to put our own signature so that we could claim it as our own copyright and that's the most important part of it. After the 3 hour class, this was what I had came out with from the combination of 2 original pictures using Photoshop CS3:









This lesson indeed taught me a lot in the sense that not only in editing pictures for my personal use but most vitally, for the education sake as we could use this technique of photo edititng in our future teaching, which would be very beneficial for teachers as well as pupils. =)
